Our mission was to design a custom flooring solution using a 6mm polyurethane system for the main back-of-house areas. This choice offers exceptional durability and a smooth finish, perfect for the rigorous demands of a fast-paced kitchen environment. The polyurethane flooring also comes with a back-to-back application and materials warranty, ensuring long-lasting performance and peace of mind for KFC’s operations.

 

**Specialised Solutions for Refrigerated Areas**

 

For the refrigerated areas, we specified a 9mm polyurethane option. This thicker flooring is specifically designed to handle thermal shock and expansion, making it ideal for the fluctuating temperatures in refrigeration units. The enhanced thickness provides additional protection and stability, ensuring the floors remain intact and functional under extreme conditions.

 

**Hygienic and Seamless Design**

 

To complement the seamless look and enhance hygiene, we included curved skirtings made from the same polyurethane material. These skirtings provide a smooth transition between the floors and walls, preventing dirt and grime buildup in corners and making cleaning easier and more efficient.

 

**Advanced Installation Techniques**

 

We are also equipped to install our flooring solutions over existing tiles, thanks to our heavy-duty, dust-free grinders and a special primer. This primer bonds the epoxy to the surface, ensuring a secure and durable finish without the need for extensive tile removal. This method reduces downtime and minimises disruption to KFC’s operations.
